the second problem i have with this game are the controls.
it can get pretty annoying at times but i mostly didn't really mind because i don't die as much in the game but it would've been nice to have a checkpoint system. My main problem with this game is that there are no checkpoints in the game so if you either quit the game and come back to it later or die in the level, you go back to the beginning of the level. it's also pretty cheap with only about 5 bucks and on sale about 2. But other melee weapons like bottles, table legs, chairs and shovels still work well. The ONLY complaint i have about the combat is that melee weapons like machetes or swords don't seem to do any more damage than your fists and also feel pretty clunky to use. But not all attacks can be blocked making you have to dodge most of the time. you can also block attacks if you hold down SHIFT which is really helpful especially for those Chinese dudes who have long ass combo moves. the combo moves also matters if you are either standing still or moving making more variety of moves. The combat is perfect, it isn't just button mashing marathon, it makes it so you can make sweet combo moves that are very inventive. The gameplay is pretty long too, with many levels being broken down into small chunks making it much more longer and really fun. it was noted that it could break your game, but I set it to 144 fps and i don't have any problems with it. The framerate is locked at 30 fps but you can fix that by going into the vars file in the game files. the graphics look great for 2003 and it does make the gameplay feel more smooth.

The story had a much more movie like feel to it which I wish other Indiana Jones games had. I do have to admit, the cutscenes did have some cheesy writing, but it didn't really make the story any less interesting. The story is good for the most part, it had me hooked and wanted to keep playing so I could see what would happen next. Now of course, with every game there are a bunch of cons but i want to list out some pros first.įirstly, the story. For 2003, this game is really impressive, and pretty much revolutionized what a standard adventure game should be like.
